This article describes and explains the remarkably complicated position regarding infringement damages in Mexico, as well as what seems to me to be the apparently superfluous and intrusive involvement of the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property in infringement proceedings. I wonder whether there exist any figures relating to the extra cost of claiming damages there.
